Internet Website Developer: Administration, programming, maintenance, and creative development for a ColdFusion based website of the Copiague Memorial Public Library. Coordinated e-mail, calendars and the programs, classes and events registration via online database through their award winning website, http://www.CopiagueLibrary.org.
Consulting Project Manager: Providing lead in technical services to clients. Involved in analyzing client needs and providing solutions for business networking, Internet access, data analysis, conversion and development. Provided telephone technical support for Windows. Performed database development in Access and Excel.
Intranet Database Designer: Developed HTML code, programmed by Microsoft Access Visual Basic, to generate web pages automatically, incorporating innovative advanced techniques using Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel.
Intranet Web Designer: Designed multiple websites using Microsoft FrontPage and published individual large engineering project details using Internet technology to CD-ROM for easy distribution. Created an information system, designed to provide a reference for future generations of engineers to pick up on project results and carrying them forward.
Senior Help Desk: On site assignment at a major international bank as the highest level of systems support of Microsoft Windows NT, Exchange Server, Outlook, Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access; as well as financial applications. Responsible for building a help desk operation that continues to serve an international community of personal computer users.
NT Administrator: Managed, designed and coordinated the automated building of NT workstations utilizing standardized user profiling, configuration and automated logon scripts.
Email Administrator: Responsible for the North and South American operations (1000+ users) of a global private corporate email system in the financial industry. Managed email servers in Curacao, Sao Paolo, New York, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, San Francisco, and Mexico City from operations center in New York.
Systems Integrator: Led a team in the conversion of hundreds of workstations, in various cities to Microsoft Exchange from Novell's GroupWise email systems in merge of American and foreign corporate offices.
Document Management System Administrator. Integrated the Novell SoftSolutions document manage system for an engineering project to allow non-technical personnel to track thousands of documents from multiple sub-contractors.
From 1973 to 1992, Mr. Kolakowski worked for Network Analysis Corporation, a think tank that had a key role in designing the technology that drives the Internet today.
NAC was a contributor in the design of ARPANET, the predecessor of the current World Wide Web. Mr. Kolakowski managed their corporate mainframe, minicomputers, and personal computer networking and participated in software development.
As a Software Quality Assurance Manager, he was responsible for the controlled upgrade of software releases, providing benchmarking and testing, to deliver a stable consumer product for designers of telecommunications networks around the world. Mr. Kolakowski has programmed in numerous computer languages, including: FORTRAN, C, and Modula-2.
As a CATV Systems Engineer, Mr. Kolakowski managed the design of cable TV systems including major areas throughout Canada (Kamloups, BC; Niagara Falls) and the United States (Elkhart IN; Woodlands TX and the Town of Oyster Bay, Long Island), using customized Computer Aided Design techniques. This work included the cable layout and power grid and feeder systems that supported delivery of high quality signals to every household. The design team produced computer generated blue prints for field workers to build these extensive networks.
